Dale Kowalski started Northline in 1998 with a pickup, two ladders and his brother-in-law Rick. Twenty-eight years on we’re a team of 22, still family-owned, and Dale still does most of the inspections himself.
Everyone on our roofs is a Northline employee, not a subcontractor. They’re trained in fall protection, paid by the hour rather than by the square, and they’re the same people who will come back if you ever need us.

Northline replaced our roof after the June hail. Dale walked the whole roof with me, showed me photos of every damaged spot, and dealt with the insurance adjuster so I didn’t have to. Crew was done in a day and a half and ran a magnet over the lawn twice.

Got three quotes. Northline wasn’t the cheapest, but they were the only ones who noticed our attic had no ventilation and explained why our shingles were curling. Two winters later, no ice dams.

Called at 9 pm on a Sunday with water coming through the kitchen ceiling. Someone was here with a tarp by 10:15. They came back that week for the permanent repair and didn’t charge us for the tarp.

Metal roof on our cabin at Elk Lake. We live two hours away, so they texted photos at the end of every day. Great communication and the roof looks fantastic.

Seamless gutters and guards on a two-story. Clean install, fair price, and they found a rotten fascia board and fixed it for $120 instead of making it a big deal.

This is the third roof Northline has done for our family: our house, our garage, and my mother’s place in Pine Hollow. That should tell you enough.

Questions
Don’t see yours? Call (555) 010-0142 and ask for Dale.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most homes take one or two days. Steep roofs, cedar and metal can take three to five. We’ll give you the schedule in your quote and text you the evening before we start.
Do I need to be home?
No. Plenty of customers are at work while we’re on the roof. We just need access to an outdoor outlet and the driveway, and we’ll send photos when we’re done.
Will you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We document storm damage with dated photos, write up the scope in the format adjusters use, and meet them on site if you’d like. You only pay your deductible.
What warranty do I get?
Every replacement comes with our 10-year workmanship warranty, plus the manufacturer’s lifetime limited warranty on the shingles. Repairs carry a 12-month warranty.
Can you roof over my existing shingles?
We don’t. Tearing off lets us check and replace soft decking, install ice & water shield properly, and it keeps your manufacturer warranty valid.
Do you pull permits?
Every time, and the cost is included in your quote. We schedule the final inspection with the county, too.
